Introducing our January Collaborator of the Month - Bryan Cosham!
We are truly honored to kick off 2024 with Bryan leading the way. Not only is he one of the nicest people we have come across but his enthusiasm for home décor and his creative ideas makes us continually want to see more.
We had the opportunity to collab with him on a few occasions last year and witnessed his remarkable talent in styling different pieces in his farmhouse fashioned home and were truly inspired.
His designs have become an inspiration to us and other people are seeing his amazing skills as well as he was named Cottage and Bungalows Ambassador of the year for 2024.
He is truly becoming the person to watch this coming year!!

- Describe your style of decorating
I would have to say that our home has a rustic farmhouse feel. It is a small cottage style home. I love decorating with neutral colors and pops of accent colors throughout the seasons and holidays. I have recently started enjoying thrifting and decorating our home with loved vintage items.
- Favorite Accent Color in your home
This depends on the season! I love adding burnt oranges and browns in the fall, pinks and light blues in the Spring, blues and greens in the summer, and reds and greens during Christmas.
- Favorite Room in your Home
MOST definitely our dining room! We added on to our home last year and it has become one of my favorite spaces. I love hosting gatherings for friends and family so having a large space to do so has been so nice!
- Comfiest piece of furniture in your home
When we added on to our home, we moved some things around in other rooms, giving space to a sectional couch in our living room. We got the Comfort Square Arm sectional from Pottery Barn, and it is my favorite purchase to date!
- When entertaining - Sit down or buffet?
This all depends on the aesthetic and what we are celebrating! With our new dining room, we are now able to host sit-down dinners. Usually, we will do a buffet in the kitchen which is next to our dining room and then sit together in the new dining space. If we are hosting a large number of people, it will definitely be a buffet!
- Least favorite chore around the house?
Scrubbing toilets! Who loves that? LOL! I actually do love cleaning. It is sort of a stress release for me, and I love cleaning and then lighting all the cozy candles. Having a clean house is the most rewarding and happy feeling!
7. Since it’s the new year - have you made any resolutions?
This year I want to be more present with my family. With the loss of my brother this year, I have come to realize even more the importance of family time. I don't like that it took that loss to figure this out, but it certainly opened my eyes to what is important in life.
- How likely are you to actually keep that resolution?
Very likely!
- Favorite Place in your hometown?
I grew up in Middletown CT. We now live in Granby CT. When I go back home to my hometown, I love to travel downtown because it brings back many memories of my childhood, especially of my grandmother.
- If you could travel to anywhere in the world where would you go.
Italy! And my dream is finally coming true! I have wanted to take a trip to Italy for years. This summer, my husband and I are traveling to Italy and Scotland, and we are so excited to be able to have this opportunity!
- Biggest surprise you have ever had
Becoming the 2024 Teacher of the Year for our school district and the 2024 Cottages and Bungalows Brand Ambassador. I am a First Grade Teacher and that was the biggest surprise of my life when I was awarded the opportunity. I am also looking forward to all the things to come in 2024 with Cottages and Bungalows.
- What is the first thing you notice about a person
Their kindness towards others and personality.
- If you won a million dollars what would you buy?
I would open up a home decor business for sure! It's a dream for me. So if I had the opportunity I certainly would!
- If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
Breakfast! I LOVE breakfast foods! Eggs, French toast, pancakes, bacon, all the breakfast goodies!
- Who is your role model and why?
My mom. She is the strongest and most loving person I know. The way she loves her family is immeasurable and how proud she is of each and every one of us makes me look up to her even more.
- Favorite time of the day
Morning! I am such a morning person! I am up at 4am. I am a spin instructor and teach classes before I go to work each morning.
- Do you collect anything?
Santa mugs and vintage Santa’s! My newest obsession. For a while I was collecting Rae Dunn. I stopped that about a year ago. I still have many Rae Dunn pieces and enjoy using them in our kitchen, but I have found a new love for all things vintage and antique!
18. Best advice you ever received?
From my best friend Suzi. Be yourself. I have used that so much in my life. On social media, in my teaching, in my relationships with others. It has helped me so much in life. I am forever grateful for our relationship.
- The one thing you could not live without?
COFFEE! I kid...but not really. Most definitely first and foremost my husband, Jameson. He keeps me grounded and helps me stay calm in situations in which I most likely would not be. His love and support in all that I do is the best gift I could ever receive.
